Village romance - little pieces of peace

With Dorfromantik, Toukana Interactive delivers a cozy game in which the stress of everyday life can be forgotten for a while. The gameplay is minimalist, but it's still fun to keep putting together new villages and trying to beat your own high score.

Build, puzzle and switch off your mind - that's the promise of the game Dorfromantik from the German developer studio Toukana Interactive. In the game, players create their own little village. However, they also have to show skill and a good eye if they want to be successful.

Turn, set, repeat

The game principle of Village romance is quickly explained. The players have an empty area and a stack of hexagonal disks. They have to place as many disks as possible on their area. The disks have different terrains. There are fields, houses, forests, bodies of water and later also transportation routes such as railways and roads.

Each game starts with a simple meadow hexagon and a stack of several cards. Players can build in all directions. It would therefore theoretically be possible to Village that is simply a straight line. But then the 50 cards would be used up quickly and the game would be over.

Dorfromantik is all about puzzling together cards that gradually form an idyllic landscape.

However, to make the village as large as possible, the individual slices have to be cleverly combined. To do this, there are occasionally Cardsthat have a task. This could be, for example, that a field card must have at least three other fields around it for the task to be completed. Other tasks are a little trickier. For example, it can happen that more than 20 trees have to be placed in a forest, but fewer than 45.

When the tasks are completed, the pile of cards is refilled with new cards and the puzzle can continue.

Pure deceleration in a romantic village setting

With Village romance Toukana Interactive delivers a cozy game in which the stress of everyday life can be forgotten for a while. The gameplay is minimalist, but it's still fun to keep building new villages and trying to beat your own high score.

Village romance
Not just something to think about, but also something for the eye. Various biomes and details make the game a real graphic gem.

The simple graphics also invite you to switch off. You may find yourself watching the windmills turn or following a train as it makes its way through the village.

The game has a high replay value because the cards are reshuffled in each game. This means that a village can always be put together in different ways and the players can take on different tasks. That's why the game is simply perfect for a little pastime.
